According to information from RAI, the man is the great-grandfather of nine grandchildren and recently became a Doctor of Law after successfully passing all his subjects.

Oscar was born in 1933 and, throughout his life, he has been involved in numerous activities and trades to support his household. He was a tailor, a bookseller and even a seller of sweets and soft drinks. He then entered the University of Rome at the age of 85 and was praised by its rector, who called him «a model student«.
His personality was built on his enthusiasm and his tireless desire to acquire knowledge and live new experiences. This is what he has always wanted to pass on to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
