When Juliana invited Maria Eduarda to stay in her home she had no idea that they would become family. The love they share is infinite.
Although most people mistake them for sisters, in reality 27-year-old Juliana is 18-year-old Maria Eduarda’s mother.
Juliana met Duda, as she likes to call her, at a gym in Salvador, Brazil, where she was taking mixed martial arts (MMA) classes. The teenager is a professional fighter. And while they may be inseparable now, their story had quite an unconventional beginning.
María Eduarda wrote on social media that she would be competing in an international Jiu-Jitsu tournament in Salvador and asked if anyone could help her.
Juliana saw the post and offered Duda a room in her house but she didn’t take up the offer. After a short while the young woman confessed that she was desperate to find a new place and asked Juliana if she could still live with her, according to Razões para Acreditar. By that time Juliana had completely forgotten about the offer she’d made.
Finally Juliana invited the young woman into her home and from that moment on their relationship began to change. They became very close and almost without realizing, Duda began calling Juliana “Mom” and vice versa. Until one dad Juliana asked Duda if she truly felt like her daughter and Duda said that she did. Juliana then called María Eduarda’s biological mother to make the adoption official. Once she received the “yes” she was waiting for, their family was ready.
And they have lived happily together ever since. The secretive looks they share demonstrate the affection they hold for each other.
