A grim incident shook the Broughton community in Stockbridge when 50 dead hares were dumped in front of a volunteer-run shop.
The man accused of this act is 39-year-old Jamie Kempster, who faces charges of criminal damage and possession of wild birds, according to the Southampton Magistrates’ Court. Surveillance cameras captured the exact moment at 3:23 a.m. when hooded figures threw the animals’ bodies from a vehicle.
The prosecution presented DNA evidence linking the suspect to the remains found at the scene. The car used was found burned on a rural road, adding further mystery to the case.
