Sasha, 17, and her boyfriend had nowhere to live with their son Leo, but Barbara Godfrey put a roof over their heads in one of her rooms. “Barbara has been great and has been a massive help,” the young woman told the Liverpool Echo.

Having children is always a blessing for people who want them. However, they don’t always arrive during the best situation of their lives, such as when going through financial problems or even age.

Teenage pregnancies are complex to deal with as not all mothers are lucky enough to have the support of their parents and the society they live in. Fortunately, the world is so big that it’s not all bad. Even if they’re hard to find, kind and gentle people exist to prove that not all is lost, restoring faith in humanity.

Sasha is a 17-year-old teenager who became a mom at the end of 2021 and was looking for a place to stay with her boyfriend Neo until she came across Barbara Godfrey’s guesthouse, who opened her doors to them.

Barbara owns Captain’s Quarters and the Andorra, a guesthouse located in the town of Southport, England, that welcomes anyone who doesn’t have a place to stay, such as Sasha and her baby Leo.

“We found out I was pregnant at the start of the year and we ended up having quite a few issues,” the mom told Liverpool Echo.

Sasha and company reached out to the kind woman thanks to some suggestions she had received. Going to her guesthouse is surely one of the best decisions she’s ever made. “Barbara has been great and has been a massive help.  We probably would have been stuck in a bad situation if we hadn’t come here. That’s the best way I can put it really.” Sasha told the same media outlet.

The owner of the rooms has provided the young woman with all the support she needed to move forward with her baby, so she was very lucky to find her. Straight away we were shown around and told us that we were safe here. Me and my partner weren’t receiving any benefits, so we were living off a food bank which wasn’t exactly great.” the mother detailed to Liverpool Echo.

Barbara enjoys putting a roof over the heads of people going through hard times, even going so far as feeling like they’re her own family. I house them, keep them here, make them happy. I provide food for them as well. Sometimes they turn up with absolutely nothing,” the owner told the English press source.

When one door closes, another one opens.
