The 10 years old boy asked the store employee to be allowed in so he could use one of the store’s tablets. He doesn’t have his own computer.

The world is an unfair place. There are some who enjoy infinite privileges and others who are condemned to miserable living conditions. None of this is related to merit, skills or effort. Simply enough, there’s a breach between rich and poor.

A boy was filmed at a store in Recife, Brazil, showcasing one of the worst faces of inequality. The boy, who’s only 10 years old, was at a Samsung store and approached one of the store’s tablets. After a few minutes, the witness noticed that he wasn’t playing: he had a pen and a notebook with him, and he was doing his Geography homework.

The student approached the store and requested the store employees to be allowed in and do his homework on one of their tablets since he had to turn in a Geography assignment and he didn’t have a computer at home.

“There it is, he doesn’t have a table at home and had to go to the store because he has a Geography assignment. What a beautiful example for those who want to live with little” narrates the store employee while he films him.

After the video went viral, the boy was identified as Guilherme Henrique Santos. With that information, the store decided to find him and help him by giving the necessary tools to properly study at home.
