“This is the one day I’ve been looking forward to since I was a little girl, it’s not about you,” the woman said.
For many couples, their wedding day is one of the most special moments of their lives. For this reason, Valentine created a list of seven rules for her big event, but unfortunately, she received more criticism than praise after deciding to draw boundaries for her guests.
Valentine is 21 years old, but even though she’s young, she’s clear about what she wants. That’s why the girl, who is about to take the big step in February, created a list of rules for her wedding so that her guests would know what they could and couldn’t do during the big event.
To begin with, the girl expressly forbade the presence of children, with the exception of the son she shares with her partner. According to the woman, her family and her fiancé’s family are large, so if they were to include the children of her guests, the budget would be out of hand, so they opted to leave the offspring out of the celebration.
Valentina also pointed out that no alcohol will be handed out before 5pm. Despite the fact that her wedding starts at 2pm. She wants to prevent guests from getting drunk too early. In addition, she included as a rule the prohibition of cell phones during the ceremony, and even threatened to stop her big day if she sees that anyone present is more attentive to the device than to them.
Also, Valentine and her fiancé expressly asked the attendees to be well dressed. The woman confessed that she spent $3,000 on a photographer, so she expects her guests to look the part. She made it a rule that no one should post pictures of the wedding on their social media until she and the groom do it first.
As if that wasn’t enough, she also banned her guests from making any big announcements on her day. “If you announce that you are pregnant or propose at my wedding or announce that you’re engaged, I will drag you out… I will literally get you out. This is the one day I’ve been looking forward to since I was a little girl, it’s not about you. Leave it for another day,” Valentine said.
As a last rule, the woman forbade her guests to go with a partner or other people. They aren’t willing to spend more money on the wedding, so only those who Valentine and her future husband want to invite are contemplated.
Although some TikTok netizens applauded the woman’s decisions, others think she went overboard. What do you think?
