Alberto Flack, a young gas station worker in Mexico, had to work the night of December 31 and the early hours of the following day, so his family went to see him to wish him a happy new year.
The year 2022 is over, and there are many memories left in the past, both happy and sad. The most recent memories are those of the festivities that took place close to December and gave way to 2023 with the best of energies.
Many were fortunate enough to spend the last day of the year with their families and friends and to be able to say goodbye and celebrate. However, those who work in essential services had to be at work, even when it was 12 a.m. on January 1st when everyone else was hugging each other at home, wishing each other a happy new year.
Even though it’s tough for them, they know it’s part of their job, and they have to do it. This was the case for Alberto Flack, a young man who works at a service station in Mexico and had to be present at the gas station even as the new year was welcomed. Fortunately, he has a loving family who didn’t let him spend the holidays in a bad way.
As can be seen in a post Alberto made on his Facebook account while he was on his work shift, his partner and daughter went to visit him to wish him a happy new year and spend some time with him, even if it was there at the gas station and not at home.
“Happy New Year, group. They came to visit me at 12:00 am. Have a great time if you’re working,” Flack wrote in the publication he shared in the Facebook group “Trabajos posting 2: El SAT contraataca” (Jobs posting 2: The SAT strikes back).
In the photographs, he can be seen in his orange Petro Seven (the petrol station he works for) uniform, with his daughter in his arms and his girlfriend. Comments applauding the family’s actions were quick to follow.
“This is when you realize that it doesn’t matter what you look like or how much money you have to have a beautiful woman who loves you and is by your side. Take good care of your wife, my friend. Despite your economic situation, she is there and has never abandoned you. Cherish that brother. Your little princess is beautiful my friend,” wrote one user.
“What a cool thing to do. When I was little, I also had to go and give my dad a hug at the gas station. Now he’s a pensioner and we spend it at home together, but what a great thing for all those people who spend their time at the gas stations. A hug and happy new year, you got this,” said another.
