The division between domestic creatures and strictly wild ones is pretty clear. Having an elephant in our home isn’t a viable reality, no matter how much we want one. A cat or a dog can live inside our homes but it’s hard for us to see a pug surviving in the wild in a forest or a jungle.

The story of Messi, a teenage cougar, is particularly striking. He was born in the zoo but was too small and weak to survive among his peers. The zoo was going to sacrifice him when a groundskeeper and his wife decided to give him a chance. This is how Messi became a house pet, a decision everyone is happy that occurred.
