The scene is dramatic. The social networks are full of records of the tragedy, where you can understand the magnitude of what happened. Among these, a moving photograph appeared.

Photographer Bilal Marie Jawich posted the photograph along with touching words. His heart tightens and eyes swell up. The atmosphere is clear, despite the distance.

“In 16 years of press and many wars, I can say that I’ve never seen what I saw today in the Ashrafiya area, especially in front of the hospital. This “champ” moved me in the hospital (…) holding three newborns surrounded by dozens of dead and wounded bodies.

In the middle of all that mess was the nurse and the three little ones, wrapped in her arms, covered in blood stains. In her blue uniform and wearing mask to protect herself from COVID-19, she held the babies and a phone to her ear, trying to find some help.

As the author of the image says, this seems to have been worse than a war, just look at the hundreds of videos that are all over the Internet.

It happened at a local university medical center in Blast Rocks, where the explosion took several lives and left many injured, suffering significant damage that made it impossible to function normally.

They were without light for several hours, crowded with patients who even had to be treated in the parking lots.

They’re still searching for missing persons as well as the bodies of those who were present in such a tragedy. However, the truth is, among so much darkness there’s also light, as is reflected in these three little angels.

The news continues to develop and the situation is far from being under control, according to the Mirror media.
