The woman, who sells homemade preparations on the streets of Lima, lines the plates she uses in a plastic bag, and then, when her customers return them, she simply removes the bag.
One of the most tedious household chores is probably washing the dinner or lunch dishes. However, a street vendor in Peru created a great way to use non-disposable dishes without having to rinse them for reuse, saving both water and time.

Peru is known worldwide for being one of the world’s gastronomic capitals due its excellent dishes and innovative preparations, which make all the tourists fall in love. Not only can you enjoy a delicious lunch in an elegant restaurant, even the street food is a luxury in this country.
This was demonstrated by a street vendor in Lima, the Peruvian capital, who has a successful business serving food from a small transportable cart. The woman, who doesn’t use disposable plates, had to find a way to be productive and not spend time washing dishes in order to provide fast service to her customers.

For this reason, the woman invented a system to avoid washing. What the vendor does with each of her customers is hand them a plate lined with a disposable plastic bag, on which she serves the food. Once her customers have finished, they hand back the plate, and she removes the plastic, leaving the plate completely clean.
TikTok user @kattyhilarion was fascinated when she saw the vendor’s great idea and decided to record a clip to upload to social media. However, as is often the case on the internet, the entrepreneur’s technique had divided opinions among netizens.

«That’s what you call creativity», «Long live fighting mommies», «Congratulations to those who look for solutions instead of generating problems», «I applaud her ingenuity», are some of the comments from TikTok users in support of the vendor’s invention.
However, on the other hand, some people found her method unhealthy and criticized her for it. «I wouldn’t like to eat like this», «Plastic is harmful with hot food», «I think this is unhygienic», «The forks puncture the bags, and everything gets contaminated», said outraged internet users.

Regardless as to whether people agree with her, no one can deny that, thanks to the street vendor’s method, she saves time, water and money.
