Jodie Foster revealed chilling details about the moment, at just nine years old, she was attacked by a lion on the set of Napoleon and Samantha.

According to her account, the animal seized her in its jaws, shook her like a rag doll, and lifted her off the ground as its fangs pierced her hip.

What proved most disturbing, however, was the human response. Foster recalls watching members of the technical crew flee in panic with their equipment, effectively abandoning the child to her fate in front of the predator. Only the animal trainer managed to force the lion to release her.

After undergoing medical treatment, she was compelled to return to work with the same predator—an experience that left her with ailurophobia, an intense and persistent fear of felines.
