Kid gave his bicycle to a boy whose bike didn’t have a seat or wheels. He showed him solidarity

That’s how Lucas Sánchez, a boy from the Sagrada Familia neighborhood of Encarnación, Paraguay, thought of it. He decided to give his used bicycle to 12-year-old Brahian Daniel Rojas.

According to information from EXTRA, Brahian comes from a poor family who also live in the same area. The boy has become well-known by the neighbors because every day he goes out with his whistle to pretend he’s directing traffic since his dream is to be a policeman. 

The problem is that the only way he can get around the streets of his neighborhood is on an old bicycle, which has no seat nor ties. It’s also very rusty.

A few weeks ago, one of the neighbors filmed the boy. In the video, he’s on the streets playing at directing traffic and the record went viral. Many users were amazed by the child’s ability to smile and have a good time despite his shortcomings. 

This video reached the phone of Lucas Sánchez’s mother, Nilda González del Puerto, who was very touched by Brahian’s case. This is also how Lucas found out about his story and decided to carry out an act of solidarity.

Lucas told his mother that he would give him his bicycle, which his father had bought him a year ago. Although the bike was used, it was still in perfect condition.

So the boy went to the crossroads where Brahian was and gave him his bike so that he would have a new means of transport to get around the city.

«We are used to doing this kind of thing, but with his clothes. We usually give away clothes that don’t fit anymore to another child who might need them. As for the bike, his father had given it to him last year for Children’s Day, but he almost didn’t use it because it was too small,» his mother said.

As soon as the boy saw the bike, he couldn’t believe it was his. According to Nilda, «the boy’s expression was one of happiness (…) He asked my son if the bike was really for him. What moved me the most was when they hugged», she said.
