Juanito Jonsson lived during the 1970s with his missionary parents in Bolivia, where he was cared for by Ana Jiménez. To thank her for her love, he invited her to lunch and gave her donations that he himself collected.

There are parents who, for various reasons, must hire another person to take care of their children and to carry out the domestic chores while they work. There are many children in the world who have grown up with people who aren’t their parents.

Juanito Jonsson’s story is one of those. The man, who is now an adult, traveled from Spain to Bolivia to be reunited with the woman who took care of him when he was a child.

According to information from Unitel, Juanito came to live in Yacuiba, Bolivia when he was a 6-month-old baby, since his parents were Spanish missionaries during the 70s. At that time, Ana Jimenez was hired as a nanny by Juanito’s parents to take care of him and raise him as if he were their biological son.

After a couple of years, Juanito grew up and went to live in Fuengirola, Spain, where he spent most of his life. However, he always remembered the warm affection and care that Ana gave him.

So he decided to search for the woman through his social networks, sharing a video and a post on Instagram. When he managed to find her whereabouts, he set out on a trip to Bolivia, on the border with Argentina, where he learned that Ana lived.

As Juanito explained, Ana «had lost a son, that’s why she gave me so much love, and after more than 45 years, I found her, and I want to bless her».

Through his research, he learned that Ana made a living selling candy on the street, so Jonsson took the opportunity to visit her to bring her voluntary donations that he collected through his social networks.

After a couple of days, between the trip and the stay in Bolivia, Juanito and Ana met again after 45 years in Yacuiba. When it was time for the reunion, Ana started to cry with emotion and both embraced.
