Tallia Storm, 22, emphasized that nightclubs should be for young people only. However, her proposal was called «ridiculous» by 78-year-old DJ Tony Blackburn.
As the years go by, new generations go making their way into society, introducing new ways of socializing with each other and even of having fun. Recently, a Scottish singer generated controversy in her country with a generational exclusionary proposal that, according to her, would benefit young people.
This is 22-year-old artist Tallia Storm, who in an interview said that people over 40 should not be accepted in nightclubs. In that sense, she emphasized that nightclubs should be exclusively for young people.

«I love that, the thought of seeing everyone live their best lives, I’m here for it. But I’m 22 years old, I’m just coming into my prime. I do not want to walk into the club and see my dad, see my dad’s friends, or even my granddad cutting some shapes,» Storm expressed, as reported by Metro.
«I’m just not sure what they have in common (…) I’m not sure if they’ll be able to relate to top hits in the UK right now (…) they can leave the clubbing to us youngsters and you guys have many more options to head to,» she added.

This whole debate arose after British cabinet minister Michael Gove, 54, was spotted dancing wildly in a nightclub in the early hours of the morning. Moreover, not everyone agrees with the singer’s opinion.

DJ Tony Blackburn, 78, said that Gove was just having fun, as anyone can do, no matter if they’re over 40. He had one of his best moments as a DJ at the age of 60 when he played in Ibiza.

«If you took this to the extreme and banned people over the age of 40 from being in a club, how about those people in Ibiza, all the DJs there, they’re all over 40. Would you stop them from performing? It’s ridiculous,» he commented.

«I was 60 when I first went to Ibiza, and when I’d done my set, I went to a club that played trance music and I loved it. I don’t see why it should be that you’re over 40 and you can’t go to a club. It’s obviously ridiculous,» he added.
