“If someone comes up to me and wants to touch me, even if I know him, if I’m uncomfortable, I say NO, loudly I say NO! And I tell without fear what happened to me,” says a part of the lyrics sung by Pitter Abisai Corral with the children.
From a very young age, we are taught fundamental life lessons from the inevitable things like talking, eating, and walking to important subjects in school. However, there is something even more valuable that isn’t always taught in the classroom, and that’s to know our rights.
It’s vital that little ones know that they must be protected, and therefore help them to take care of themselves to prevent damage such as child abuse.
The ideal is that each family is responsible for teaching their own children that their physical and mental integrity must be respected, so it’s key that they learn to prevent this from happening. Specialists, psychologists, and authorities try to contribute to this cause, as do teachers.
This was demonstrated by a teacher in Jalisco (Mexico) who taught his young students how to protect themselves from abuse and to say “no” when an adult with bad intentions tries to approach them.
Little ones love music, so through a song, the teacher, identified as Pitter Abisai Corral on TikTok, helped them learn how they should protect themselves from ill-intentioned people.
“If someone comes up to me and wants to touch me, and even though I know him, he makes me uncomfortable, I say NO, loud I say NO! and I tell without fear what happened to me,” says part of the lyric
Pitter recorded a video for TikTok where he is shown together with the children singing the song with the help of gestures, where he even thinks about more specific cases.
“I know how to take care of my body. I know how to take care of my body. If someone comes up to me and wants to touch me, even if I know him, if I’m uncomfortable, I say NO, loudly I say NO! And I tell without fear what happened to me,” says song lyrics.
