Lindsay Hay went from one end of the motherhood spectrum to the other: from believing she would never have children, to forming an entire family in a single pregnancy.
Motherhood is an issue that will never cease to be fundamental to our lives. Let’s start by saying that it’s the reason why we’re all here (everyone except for me, but that’s a topic for another day). Without our mother’s efforts to carry us in their wombs, followed by their difficult process of giving labor, we would’ve never come into this world and begun our own story. In this same way, one day, the time may come when it’s our turn to decide that the person we share our time with is the right one. We’ll look her in the eye and conclude that it’s time to expand the family from two (or two plus a pet) to you two and a baby, who will then grow up to become a playful child and, eventually, a disrespectful teenager with bad taste in clothing.
Getting to that point is one of the most precious goals a person can have in life. Giving life and nurturing and guiding another person through life is something that can never be sufficiently rewarded.

This is why, for many people, finding out they have a physiological problem, which complicates or even prevents them from having a baby, is one of the toughest news they can get. Lindsay Hay received news like this, but instead of getting depressed and giving up, it just motivated her to look for alternative methods.
This is how she found a fertility treatment that pushed her body to produce more eggs than normal. In this way, it increased the chances that one of them would stay in her reproductive system to later be fertilized by her partner. The treatment was not only successful, it ended up working much better than expected.
Lindsay went from believing that she would never hold her own baby in her arms, to learning that she would have to make room in her house for four boys or girls. As the months went by, her belly grew almost out of control. At one point, she was certain that she would lose her babies. She was a petite woman, so Lindsay didn’t think she could carry so many human beings inside her.
Ultimately, everything turned out well. Lindsay became the lucky mother of four children, who are growing up safe and sound in the home that she and her husband prepared for their arrival.
