They’ve come up with a natural alternative, with no impact on the environment. Well, the planet thanks you!
We all know that humans have a pending task to care for the environment. This has been left aside for many years, but today the environmental consequences are actually serious.
Different countries have already gone plastic-free, and today it’s increasingly common to reduce the use of plastic bags. However, there’s still a long way to go, that’s why any creative initiative with an effective solution is welcomed.
The Rimping supermarket in Chiangmai, Thailand, went viral after coming up with an interesting project: wrapping its products in banana leaf. This way, they can leave plastic packaging aside, which takes too long to decompose and does a lot of damage to our animals and the environment.
The photos show how effective the initiative is, as it’s a natural way to stop using plastic packaging to display their fresh products. On their Facebook page called “Perfect Homes Chiangmai,” all fresh products received tons of compliments with more than 15,600 reactions.
We’ve previously seen this type of initiatives in supermarkets in New Zealand, which has introduced “Food in the Nude,” in other words, a campaign to end plastic packaging. Even though for some it’s great idea, for some others it’s simply not hygienic, and fruits and vegetables can be easily damaged.
Now this new initiative opens a door, because in the end, all these projects help us solve the problem. We must stop killing animals with plastic!. We hope to see more supermarkets like the Rimping Supermarket.
