Those of us who grew up in Latin American households have probably eaten at least once in a container that isn’t exactly designated for food. It’s typical of our moms to serve us in recycled containers to avoid tossing out very important Tupperware.
This custom has been maintained over time and no matter how much we grow up, we remain grateful to eat in these containers again.

This was demonstrated through Instagram by young Herrera, who didn’t opt for airplane food during a flight but for a delicious meal of rice and eggs stored inside a detergent container. “It was packed for me with a lot of love by my mom,” he said during the video, adding that it was a delight.
Of course, this touched many because of how funny the moment was but also because of how thoughtful he was to bring his mother’s food thousands of feet in the air.

Since his publication, the video went viral and does nothing but receive positive reactions from Instagram users, who are happy to see someone proud of a delicious meal of rice and egg. For many it’s just a simple lunch, but there’s no doubt that it’s nutritious and was made with a lot of love.
“Many times, I even packed my lunchbox for school and the liquid was packed in a bottle of cleaning product, but I still enjoyed the food very much,” wrote one user. “What a beautiful mother. You can tell she did a good job raising her son,” wrote another.
