«God is very good to us. Days ago, I received my degree as an engineer, and I wanted to take this picture in the little flea shop with my mom,» said Enrique Zapata Reyes, who showed his pride in his mother’s work.

Despite how hard some parents’ economic situation may be, they will do everything possible for their children to receive an education and have a better future. For this reason, we should be grateful for their honest effort to provide for their children.

Enrique Zapata Reyes, a young man from the town of Sabinas, in the state of Coahuila de Zaragoza in northern Mexico, knows this very well. He recently graduated as an engineer and didn’t hesitate to thank, first of all, the person who did everything in her power to support him: his mother.

Enrique comes from a humble home, which is why he understands the efforts his mother made so that he could study. She sells used clothes in an informal market in this town, investing the little she manages to earn in her son. For this reason, the young man went to her job to take a picture with his mother and his diploma.

«God is very good to us. Days ago, I received my degree as an engineer, and I wanted to take this picture in the little flea shop with my mom. God knows how many times her sales went towards trucks, material, books, copies, etc …» wrote the young man on his Facebook account.

«Many times, we sold just enough for the truck or a little more, but God never forgot us. I thank each person who bought a piece of clothing, a pair of shoes, bags, etc. from us because they helped me make this dream come true, as well as thank all the people who helped me along the way, who were always there for me. This degree is yours, too,» he added.

Enrique is proud of his mother and the work she does because it was with this work that she was able to pay for his studies. That is why he wanted to invite everyone who read his post to buy in these local establishments, because it helps many families who need to work.

«Through this publication, I want to invite everyone to continue buying from local stands. You never know if the corn, empanada, fresh water, raffle ticket, or anything else you’re buying, is going toward our future engineers, architects, doctors, teachers,» he said.

The post with the photos with his mother quickly became popular on the internet and has already reached 80,000 reactions and has been shared around 50,000 times.
