A fight for the UBO world title in Turkey ended in total scandal. Russian boxer Sergei Gorokhov defeated local fighter Emirhan Kalkan by knockout in just the second round, but the celebration lasted only seconds.

When he tried to greet his rival, a member of the Turkish team pushed him and sparked a brawl inside the ring. The situation got completely out of control.

First the teams clashed, but very quickly more than 40 people, even up to 80 according to the boxer himself, stormed the ring.

The outcome was serious: Gorokhov’s trainer ended up with a head injury and had to be hospitalized, while the fighter himself was also hit, although he managed to avoid more serious harm.

After the incident, the video went viral, the Russian team was placed under police protection, and the bout could be annulled amid criticism over the lack of security at the event.
