Finding out we were carrying twins felt like the Lord was reminding us that He hadn’t forgotten about us. That there was still reason to hope. These boys were never a replacement for what we lost. Nothing can be. But their lives became an unexpected and beautiful gift in the middle of our grief — a reminder that God can bring joy into places where we thought there could only be sorrow.
