This happened to Joao Paulo de Costa, a Brazilian man who had a breakdown at the Istanbul airport when staff refused to let him see his four Papillon Spaniels traveling in the cargo hold.
The footage is intense: he’s seen screaming and crying on the floor, desperate because his pets are his entire life. The scene ended with the police stepping in so Joao could check on them. Only then was he able to calm down.
Later, safe in Switzerland, he explained his reaction was pure protective instinct against the airline’s coldness. After the scare and going viral worldwide, the whole group finally made it home safe and sound. 🐾✈️
