We know that stars often enjoy many benefits thanks to their celebrity status, right? For example, showing up to places without warning, jumping lines, not making reservations and even being offered the best table. However, when you’re not recognized that all changes.
That’s what recently happened to Adam Sandler, when a waitress at a restaurant in the United States didn’t recognize the actor while he waited for a table. She simply warned him that there was a 30 minute wait time for a table, just like he was any other client.

The moment was shared on TikTok by the IHOP employee herself, who only realized that the person who had been waiting for a table and left was Adam Sandler after checking the security cameras.
The woman, identified as Dayanna Rodas, can be seen in the video telling Sandler, who’s wearing a mask, that he’ll need to wait 30 minutes to be able to sit down. However, without making a fuss and brandishing the classic “don’t you know who I am?”, the actor politely left.

Dayanna felt so embarrassed when she discovered that she had turned away the famous actor that she decided to share this video on TikTok, where she shows herself with the face of a clown before showing the footage from the restaurant.
Since then the video has been viewed more than 8.1 million times, and many people have praised the “Uncut Gems” star for his attitude. “At least he didn’t use his fame to pressure anyone, he left just like a normal person would have done” commented one user.

Another user wrote “The fact that he could have said…I’m Adam Sandler and he didn’t is amazing, the majority of celebrities would use their status to get in”. One user even said that the actor lives in her neighborhood and often eats out at local restaurants just like anybody else: “He has his feet firmly on the ground”, they wrote.
While Adam Sandler didn’t manage to get a table at the restaurant, he earned the affection of many people who praised his humility, charisma and good attitude despite being such a well-known star
