Shelton never erased Baeya’s face from his life.

Ever since his Boston Terrier was stolen in the summer of 2022, he never stopped looking for her: he put up posters around the neighborhood, asked everyone he knew for help, and founded a business using his dog’s face as its logo. Almost four years later, in March 2026 in California, the organization Wags and Walks found Baeya wandering alone and took her to a shelter, where she was about to be adopted under another name, “Kit”, just one day earlier.

The appointment was canceled at the last minute. That is why they posted her photo on Instagram, and a friend of Shelton’s recognized her instantly. “I was crying”, he said when he was reunited with the one he called “the first love of my life”. Four years of waiting resolved by a coincidence that, this time, worked in his favor.
