Brazil national team goalkeeper Weverton starred in an incredible viral moment, proof that football is a true passion.
The joy was so great that the player simply collapsed.
It all happened in the living room at home, while he was listening to the roster announcement with his family. Then, it is heard on the television: ”Weverton”.
Excitement then took over the scene, but while everyone celebrated, the athlete remained lying on the floor for a brief moment.
At a press conference, he explained the following:
“To be completely honest, I don’t even know what happened. I think I fainted a little. And I’ve already seen the images several times, I’ve already thanked God because my brother didn’t crush my head. What was supposed to be a joy could have turned into a tragedy”.
Weverton also said that he couldn’t find the best way to express that moment.
He posted the clip on his Instagram account and it quickly went viral, receiving many comments about the episode.
