Everyone expects a Formula 1 driver to be able to pull off practically any maneuver behind the wheel. After all, they are capable of controlling a single-seater at more than 300 km/h.
That’s why the images of Lance Stroll parking at Silverstone went viral.
The Canadian had a wide, completely clear space reserved for the drivers, but he ended up leaving his Aston Martin DBX 707 over the parking line and partially encroaching on the adjacent space.
The scene was enough to make social media explode with jokes. Many sarcastically said that “parking is harder than taking a corner in Formula 1”, while others took the opportunity to revive the eternal debate over who drives better.
There were also those who came to the driver’s defense, pointing out that anyone can park badly once in a while, even someone who competes in motorsport’s most demanding category.
The truth is that, for one day, Stroll drew more attention for how he left his car in the parking lot than for what he did on the track.
