Many may not know how to tell a birdie from a bogey, but that is probably about to change: Bryson DeChambeau is dating Mikayla Demaiter, a Canadian model and former hockey player who has millions of followers on social media.
The relationship was confirmed this week and, according to a source cited by Us Weekly, the romance is relatively recent, but both are reportedly “very happy”.
Demaiter, 26, was a hockey goalie before retiring at 19 due to an injury. She then turned to modeling and social media, where she currently has more than 3 million followers on Instagram and another 2,7 million on TikTok.
The rumors began to grow after she was seen at a LIV Golf tournament with a guest credential and a Crushers GC cap, the team DeChambeau captains.
But there were more clues.
Demaiter also posted photographs from a gym that apparently belongs to the golfer, along with images related to LIV Golf events. All of that led fans to start putting the pieces together before the relationship was confirmed.
DeChambeau, 32, is one of the biggest names in professional golf and has won the US Open twice. But now it seems he has achieved something no tournament can give him: a completely new group of people interested in golf. 😂
