A photograph of a Paraguayan soccer player is drawing particular attention on social media and prompting many users to try to discover who the protagonist is.
The image, originally shared on social media, shows the player in a pose that left far more than expected exposed, turning a sports photograph into an unexpected viral phenomenon.
But behind the image is a soccer player whose career goes far beyond social media.
It is Laura Romero Jara, a current player for Club Guaraní and one of the best-known soccer players in Paraguayan women’s soccer. She has also worn the jerseys of Cerro Porteño, Olimpia and Sportivo Luqueño, among other teams.
With Cerro Porteño, she was part of the squad that won the 2024 Women’s Copa Paraguay, while her career also took her abroad.
Romero played for River Plate de Argentina and Kindermann de Brasil, adding international experience to her career.
On her social media, she usually shares photographs related to her sporting life, as well as videos featuring some of her best plays, but this time it was a completely different image that managed to capture the attention of thousands of people.
The post once again put her name in front of an audience that may not have known her for her performance on the field.
