A simple point at Roland Garros ended up turning into a full-blown controversy. Spanish tennis player Rafael Jodar found himself at the center of the storm after a video went viral, in which many claim he may have pushed a ball girl during the match.
The footage shows the exact moment the young girl loses her balance as she crosses paths with the player, which was enough to set social media ablaze. Within minutes, the comments were split between those accusing him of an intentional act and those defending that it was all an accident.
The controversy grew even more when the clip began circulating widely across different platforms, generating thousands of reactions and theories about what happened on the court.
Under pressure, Jodar denied having pushed the girl and insisted that there was no contact of any kind, attributing the situation to the speed of the game and the misleading angle of the video.
