The family of the first-time mother stabbed in Times Square asked that she be remembered for how she lived, not how she died

Erin Piacenti was 32 years old and had only just returned from maternity leave.

It was her first day back at the Bank of America office in New York when a woman attacked her at random near Times Square. At home, her husband, Frank, and their daughter, Madison, just 5 months old, were waiting for her.

The family broke their silence through a fundraiser for the little girl.

They described her as a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and “incredibly loving” mother, and asked for one simple thing: that she be remembered for how she lived, not how she died.

Erin and Frank had met at Fordham Law School, married in August 2024, and had just returned from a family road trip.

Bank of America also bid farewell to its “valued teammate” in its own statement.
