Roslyn Loveless was married to Thomas Markle Sr. from 1964 to 1975. She died in 2024. And according to sources cited by Page Six, before she died she left something that is once again shaking the family today: a 2019 letter warning authorities about his alleged involvement in and possession of illicit and highly sensitive material that harms minors.

Exactly what the letter said remains a mystery. What is known is how it made its way to Meghan: it reached London’s Metropolitan Police, and then the police passed it on to her. She says she was left “deeply distressed” and that she was assured the allegations were being investigated.

On Saturday, October 24, the Met confirmed that it had a record of the letter being sent to Meghan in January 2019.

Thomas Markle Sr. denies the allegations; at the time, he dismissed those made by his ex-wife as “invalid”. According to Page Six, Meghan was advised not to speak publicly so as not to jeopardize a legal case.
