The world of athletics has a new phenomenon, and his name is making waves around the planet. It is Gout Gout, an Australian sprinter just 18 years old who achieved a feat that seemed reserved for legends: surpassing one of Usain Bolt’s youth records.

During the Australian Championships held in Sydney, the young athlete posted an impressive time of 19.67 seconds in the 200 meters, a mark that made him the fastest under-20 runner in history and immediately put him on the radar of the global sports world.

Comparisons with Bolt were quick to appear; in fact, the Jamaican himself acknowledged the Australian’s enormous talent and said he hopes he is surrounded by the right people to develop his full potential.

While thousands of fans already dream of seeing him challenge the absolute records of the fastest man in history, Gout is keeping his feet on the ground. However, one thing seems clear: athletics could be witnessing the birth of its next great superstar.
