The 2026 World Cup continues to leave behind images that become trends, and one of the most talked-about in recent hours featured the content creator known as “La Wereja”.

The fan arrived near the stadium wearing elaborate body paint in the colors of Mexico, an artistic intervention that simulated the national team’s uniform and immediately drew the attention of other fans and social media.

The images began circulating on platforms such as X, Instagram, and TikTok, where thousands of users debated the meaning of these kinds of appearances during major sporting events.

For some, it is yet another display of the creativity with which fans experience the World Cup. For others, this type of content is driven by the search for visibility and virality on social media.

What is certain is that body paint has become an increasingly common practice at international tournaments, where numerous supporters use body paint to show support for their national teams and stand out in the crowd.

As the discussion continues, La Wereja’s appearance once again showed that the World Cup is not only played on the field. In the stands, the streets, and on social media, there is also a competition to become one of the tournament’s most memorable images.

And judging by the reaction it generated, it seems she has already achieved her goal.
